Helping you heal from trauma.

Get more out of love and life.

Hi! I’m Sarah - I’m a relationship and trauma therapist based in New York and Rhode Island. I work with individuals and couples that are hurting, feel disconnected, or are struggling. You might be finding yourself in cycles of conflict or feel disconnected. Or maybe you are dating the same type of person over and over again.

You might have tried a plethora of other therapists or tried to figure this out on your own leaving you feeling helpless, frustrated, and stuck.

What it’s like to work with me

I focus on looking for patterns in the past that are showing up in the present that impact your relationship. I’m interested in getting to the root of the problem and the solution. I’ll hold you accountable to the changes you want to make too. We will work toward the vision you see for yourself, whether it be connected to love, healing from past family or relationship trauma, or getting to the root cause of your dating patterns- I’ll be there right alongside you.

I truly enjoy working with folks that have complexities in their histories and experiences. I work to co-create a safer space with you to unpack painful experiences and overwhelming emotions while being compassionate, direct, and offering insight. I don’t shy away from intensity.

On a personal note, I know what it’s like to feel frustrated with current relationships or struggling to heal from past ones. You aren’t alone. You can have the love and support you want in your life. To book a session or learn more about my approach fill out the contact me form below. You can expect to hear from me within 24 hours.

Speciality areas

  • When Talk Therapy Isn’t Enough, We Go Deeper

Many of the people I work with are no strangers to therapy. They’ve spent years in talk therapy, gaining insight, telling their stories — yet still feel stuck in the same patterns.

    Despite all the insight.
    You're still on high alert.
The same relational triggers keep showing up.

That’s where our work begins getting to the root of it and aligning you to your authentic self— using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to access and process the deeper layers of emotional memory that talk therapy often can’t reach.

  • I Hold Space for the Raw, Real, and Relational.

I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships — across many forms, metamorphoses, and challenges.

Whether you're navigating the beginning of something new, the heartbreak of something ending, or the complexity of everything in between — I’m here for all of it.

I feel deeply comfortable holding space for the vulnerability, complexity, and rawness that love and relationships bring. That includes:

    • Dating and attachment struggles

    • Relationship trauma and betrayal

    • Communication breakdowns

    • Non-monogamy and boundary negotiation

    • Break-ups, separation, and divorce

    • Rebuilding trust — with others, or with yourself

No dynamic is too complicated, no emotion too much.
This work is about making space for your full humanity — your longings, your grief, your patterns, and your capacity to heal.

My training is rooted in Gottman, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, and RLT.

  • Trauma Doesn’t Just Live in the Past — It Shows Up in the Present

Trauma isn't always one big event.
Sometimes, it’s the slow build of being unheard, unseen, or unloved in the ways you needed most.
It can show up in your relationships, in your body, in your silence, or in your survival strategies.

I specialize in working with individuals and relationships impacted by trauma — whether that looks like:

    • Emotional wounds from childhood or past partners

    • Repeating unhealthy dynamics despite self-awareness

    • Shutdowns, anxiety, or over-functioning in intimacy

    • Navigating breakups, betrayal, or relational ruptures

    • The complexity of ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships

    • Divorce, disconnection, and the grief of what didn’t work

You might be someone who holds it all together — the high performer, the caretaker, the over-thinker.
But inside, you may be exhausted from managing emotions alone or trying to "fix" patterns that feel deeply rooted.

  • Addiction isn’t about weakness — it’s about pain, survival, and the ways we’ve learned to cope. Whether it’s substance use, sex, love, or relational addiction, I offer a person-centered, trauma-informed approach rooted in harm reduction and deep compassion.

    You won’t find judgment here.
You’ll find a safer space to explore what’s showing up underneath the patterns — the unmet needs, emotional injuries, and survival strategies that have served a purpose, even if they’re no longer working.

I’ve worked with many individuals across the spectrum of addiction, including those navigating substance use, compulsive relationship cycles, or the emotional intensity of love and sex addiction. If you’re feeling stuck between self-awareness and self-sabotage — you’ll be working with someone who gets it.

Together, we’ll slow down, get curious, and begin untangling what’s really going on — at a pace your nervous system can handle. Freedom doesn’t begin with willpower. It begins with safety, connection, and the courage to meet yourself honestly.

  • High-Achieving, Burning Out, and Holding It All Together?

I specialize in working with individuals in high-stress, high-demand careers — whether you're in finance, law, medicine, or running your own business. You’ve been operating at full capacity for years. You're driven, capable, and constantly pushing forward.

But behind the success, things may be unraveling.

    Maybe you're:

    • Burning out and can't afford to slow down

    • Burying trauma that keeps resurfacing at work or in relationships

    • Watching your marriage quietly or loudly fall apart

    • Struggling with substance use or other ways of numbing the pressure

You’re not weak — you’re human. And you don’t have to figure it out alone.

In our work together, I offer a grounded, nonjudgmental space to unpack what’s really going on — while holding you accountable to the changes you say you want to make. Whether you're ready to finally face long-buried trauma, repair relationships, or redefine what success means on your own terms, I’m here to support the real, sustainable growth you're ready for.

I’m here to listen and help.
